SAVORY TOFU CRUMBLES
-
Firm Tofu - 1 block
Tamari - 1 bottle
Maple Syrup - 1 bottle
Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 bottle
Garlic Powder - 1 small bottle
Paprika - 1 small bottle
Directions
Press 1 block of firm tofu to get as much water out as possible.
Heat a large non-stick pan on the stove over medium heat. Crumble as many blocks of firm tofu into the pan as you like. Just remember to multiply the marinade recipe for as many blocks as you decide to add.
While that’s cooking, grab a bowl and combine ¼ cup (72g) of tamari, 2 tablespoons (40g) of maple syrup, 2 teaspoons (10g) of apple cider vinegar, ½ teaspoon (2g) of garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon (1g) of paprika. Mix these ingredients together.
Pour the sauce into the pan and immediately mix to coat all the tofu. The sauce will bubble from the heat. Continue to cook the tofu for another 5 minutes until the edges are slightly browned.
You can serve with soft corn tacos, a diced tomato, a head of lettuce, guacamole, cilantro, a lime wedge, and salsa!
