My Journey to becoming a Vegan Superhero
When I first met my boyfriend, Matt, I barely knew what veganism was. One of the first times he came to my apartment, I set up a charcuterie board with crackers, cheese, and other snacks, thinking I was being a good host. He graciously explained that he doesn’t eat dairy, and I was absolutely mortified. It became a running joke between us, but looking back, it was a pivotal moment in my journey.
I never felt any pressure from Matt to go vegan. He’s one of the most patient people I know, and he simply planted little seeds over time, sharing information about health, the environment, and animal ethics. At first, I was defensive, but as we had more conversations, I started opening my mind.
Fast forward to January 2024. Matt and I watched a couple of documentaries on Netflix, including What the Health. Afterward, I couldn’t ignore the information anymore. I went to the kitchen and started throwing out all the animal products in my fridge and pantry. It was a dramatic moment, but I was done. From that day on, I committed to going vegan.
Finding My Way to The Vegan Gym
When I first became vegan, I was overwhelmed. I wanted to learn how to cook vegan meals and stay consistent with my health goals. That’s when I stumbled upon The Vegan Gym YouTube channel. I started watching meal prep videos by Leif and was inspired by the simplicity and practicality of his approach.
A few months later, I decided to join The Vegan Gym and work with Coach Tiana. From the very first conversation, I felt like I belonged.

Joining The Vegan Gym was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. For years, I struggled with my weight and self-esteem. I had always been told I was either “too skinny” or “too heavy,” and it felt like I was never good enough. I spent almost a decade trying to lose weight on my own but failed repeatedly due to a lack of consistency and knowledge.
Working with Coach Tiana was a game-changer. Having a support system is key, for me, Tiana has been that person. She’s not just my coach, she’s my cheerleader, my guide, and my friend. With her guidance, I’ve lost nearly 30 pounds, improved my blood work, and gained confidence. For the first time, I feel strong, capable, and genuinely happy with my progress and lifestyle choices.
Embracing the Ripple Effect
This is just the beginning of my journey, and I’m thrilled to continue improving my health, spreading the message of veganism, and inspiring others to embrace positive change. The Vegan Gym has been an incredible part of my transformation, providing the tools, support, and guidance I needed to succeed.
Every small step I’ve taken with the help of my amazing coach and the Vegan Gym community has created a ripple effect in my life and the lives of those around me. People have taken interest in my progress and ask me for advice on how they could improve their health. It’s amazing to see how this journey has inspired others to start their own paths toward health and compassion.
