Coach NATHAN’s Story
Nathan is from the UK and has been a qualified personal trainer for over 10 years. From a young age, he was always interested in health and fitness which led him to study sports development, coaching, and fitness in college. He then went on to do his undergraduate degree in fitness and personal training where he gained his Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) Level 2 & Level 3 personal training qualifications and graduated with a First class degree. From 2015 until 2017 Nathan gained a lot of experience working with clients on a 1-1 basis and teaching exercise classes working for Nuffield Health.
In 2017 Nathan decided to take a career break and went traveling all around Asia, gaining his Yoga teacher training qualification in India along the way. While in Vietnam, Nathan suffered from euphoric mania and was hospitalized which brought an end to his time traveling. Following this, he ended up living back at his parents for 9 months and during this time while struggling with his mental health, ended up gaining 45 pounds. After moving to Cardiff in 2019 he started improving his health again and got a job in another gym. When the pandemic struck in 2020 Nathan used this time in lockdown to truly focus on his fitness and with a pull-up bar and some home gym equipment, was back in peak physical shape by October 2020. By this time he was now dating a vegan who educated him on the horrors of the meat and dairy industry and he started eating mostly vegan with her from then onwards, transitioning to fully vegan when they eventually moved in together the following April.
Since then he worked with multiple clients on a 1-1 basis on the gym floor, and in November 2021 Nathan started working online exclusively coaching vegans and has personally helped over 200 vegans (and counting) improve their health and fitness. He is truly dedicated to his clients and loves helping them thrive on a plant-based diet, showing them what’s achievable with the right guidance and commitment.
Nathan is a high performer and enjoys pushing himself to his limits with his training. Taking on his first Hyrox race in 2024, Nathan keeps testing himself with different fitness challenges and thrives when he gives himself a set goal to aim for. Although he enjoys intense training, Nathan also loves a chilled night in with board games and tasty vegan food.
