Coach Megan’s Story
Megan is a vegan nutrition and fitness coach with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Health Promotion. She is also a certified health and wellness coach and a certified personal trainer. Megan has been vegan since 2014. She and her husband switched to a vegan lifestyle after learning the health benefits. Their dedication to being vegan was strengthened after learning about the food industry and it’s negative negative treatment of animals and the harmful effects it has on the habitability of Earth.
Since going vegan, Megan continues to reap the benefits in her strength, endurance, recovery, and general health. During the work week, Megan starts her day with strength training. Lifting heavy weights has built her confidence and moved her focus from being thin to being the best version of herself. She believes strength is for everyone and vital to the healthy aging process. Megan also loves to spend time outside playing disc golf, hiking, walking, kayaking, and doing yard work. Anything to spend time out in nature!
Megan takes a lifestyle medicine approach to coaching by focusing on all areas of wellness, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, social connection, and avoiding risky substances). She walks the path along with her clients and empowers them to harness their inner expertise to gain momentum on their wellness journey. By focusing on strengths and providing unconditional positive regard, clients are able to build resilience and a strong sense of self-efficacy. She is here to support you every step of the way!
